A triple (or possibly quadruple) exposure of New York from the top of Empire State Building. This was my first time in the building; the lines were always so long that I was discouraged from the start. This time we made it.

The Sisters of Mercy came through Washington DC this last week. They are one of my all time favorite bands.. and by favorite I mean that I was once committed enough to get the band’s logo tattooed on my shoulder. They are not the same anymore and I feel mildly upset about that. I don’t regret the tattoo at all though.. it really stands for much more than one band.
But as far as the show.. I cannot say it was even close to what I used to see in European festivals about 10 years ago. But on the other hand I cant really skip their shows either. It just one of those things you sort of expect to suck but at the same time you really hope for a surprise. I am sad to say no surprises were at hand in DC. But I will wait till next time, patiently… maybe that will be the time.
